Tumaini AMCOS LTD  was established and got its permanent registration on 09^th May 2022 under registration number KAR-933 Under official names  “Tumaini Organic and Fair Trade Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Society Limited”  and Later in 2023, the registration was changed to PRI-KY-KYE-DC-2023-3772 with seventy nine (79) farmers as founders of the AMCOS. Currently, TUMAINI AMCOS LTD is with 932 Farmers.

TUMAINI AMCOS LTD collects, sells and finds internally and externally market of Organic, Rain forest alliance and Fair-trade certified coffee sourced from registered small holder organic agriculture producers.

Our Internal Control System is geared for providing support and also safeguarding the organic integrity of the small holder producers. The Internal Control System comprises the maintenance of individual farms under organic, Rain forest alliance and fair-trade certified conditions and also ensures the traceability of products going for export. The activities of the small holder farmers are monitored in a programme of regular visits and controlled documentary. Internal inspection is done once a year. In addition, the small holder farmers involved are made aware of their common responsibility to ensure the organic integrity of the products. To ensure the strict compliance of all small holder members to organic production principles and practices, the group has been entrenched with the essence of organic agricultural principles and practices in the internal organic standard. For this reason,TUMAINI AMCOS LTD provides regular training on good organic production methods to the farmers.

TUMAINI AMCOS sources coffee from farmers who are registered in growers of AMCOS. The farmers are located mainly in 5 wards of Nyaruzumbura, Kyerwa, Rukuraijo, Nkwenda and Nyakatuntu within 12 villages in Kyerwa district in Kagera region, Tanzania.
